I am delighted to introduce another amazing client I had the honor to work with. Originally from Portugal, and having spent ten years in the Netherlands before moving to Houston, Claudia’s worldly depth of knowledge has delivered modern homes in Costa Rica, villas in Portugal, ranches in Texas, and beach houses in Florida for a litany of satisfied clients. Whether it is the home you have worked your whole life to retire in, or your vacation.

Claudia’s goal for the branding photoshoot was to capture the most visited locations around Lisbon's city center and introduce the Portuguese lifestyle to her American clients considering relocating to Portugal. She has experience with many photoshoots, so planning was very smooth as she knows exactly what needs to be captured and focuses on small details within her outfits and props.

We started our photo tour near Cathedral Sé waiting for the popular yellow tram number 28, and continued to the downtown showcase of beautiful pavement art, and typical Portuguese tiles and discovered local cuisine together. Working with her is always an extraordinary and fun experience. Mostly because Claudia pours her heart into the photoshoot which enables her to capture her true essence. That way she keeps attracting like-minded clients.

Why did you start with Real Estate?

I began working in Real Estate out of a profound desire to find people their dream homes, no matter where that home was in the world. No, I am certainly not your “typical” realtor. Unfazed by distance and boundaries, undeterred by unexpected roadblocks, and driven by a loyalty to my clients that lasts long after their deal is completed, real estate is simply so much more than a simple transaction to me.

As a native Portuguese who lives in the USA, you can identify the main differences between the cultures. Can you reveal some examples?

Having lived in both the USA and Portugal, you have a unique insight into how two cultures can be strikingly different yet so similar at once. I'm a contrarian optimist - instead of focusing on what sets us apart, I prefer to look at the ways we're all connected and find joy in our shared journey.

Texas and Portugal are two lands with a remarkably similar spirit - sure, they may be far apart on the map but in their values of family orientation, hard work, and love for good food, you could say Texans and Portuguese have more than a few things in common! It's incredible how sometimes worlds away can still feel so close.

What can Americans expect from life in Portugal?

For the adventurous American looking for a lifestyle change, life in Portugal presents an exciting opportunity to experience new cultures, explore diverse landscapes, and savor delicious cuisine. From its stunning beaches along the Algarve coast to vibrant cities like Lisbon and Porto offering countless activities from sightseeing tours to nightlife options; this beautiful country has so much beauty & culture ready for you!

What are the legal steps to move overseas and where can you help?

As a Global Real Estate Advisor, it's my mission to help people find their place in Portugal. From investors looking for the best areas to buy short-term rentals or secure European residency through golden visas to those ready and eager to move but unsure of where - I'm here as your connection guide!

My years of experience combined with an extensive network mean that clients can entrust me with finding them reliable legal advisors, CPAs, and bankers so they can make informed decisions about investing in one of Europe's most beautiful countries.

Which areas of Portugal are the best to invest in Real Estate and why?

Portugal offers no shortage of opportunities for those interested in investing - from finding your perfect home to a lucrative short-term rental. During the discovery session with prospective clients, it's important to uncover their individual needs and wants; whether they're looking for permanent residence or part-time living, have young kids, or are retired seniors navigating stairs and wheelchair accessibilities, need excellent medical care nearby while embracing culture and history.

Ultimately Portugal is an amazing investment choice that boasts a high quality of life at low cost as well as exceptional education & health services – factors which all come together nicely depending on client requirements when we run the numbers & present potential prospects!

What made you convinced to schedule a personal branding photoshoot?

I have been doing these for years, as a Realtor, I believe that if you cannot sell your image how can you sell a home right? If you are not good at marketing your skills, how can you market your products? I also just think they are lots of fun and are my sort of online resume. If you need to stand out and differentiate yourself from the competition, branded photos are key. And as a Global Realtor that sells homes in Portugal, I could not pass up the opportunity to have a branded shoot in Lisbon.

How was your experience?

Lucie's amazing communicative attitude allowed for fruitful collaboration and the beautiful end result speaks volumes. Her work truly radiates a special kind of brilliance that we both can't get enough of - an experience well worth repeating!

How do you make sure you keep a connection with your family members when living abroad?

Lots of calls, videos, social media, and trips back home. I also recently brought my mom to stay with us for 3 months and enjoy our life in Texas and Florida. We also try to celebrate big dates together, birthdays and Christmas, when we can. Building memories!

What excites you the most about the life of an entrepreneur?

What enthralls me about the life of an entrepreneur is its potential for personal growth and success. It offers a unique opportunity to challenge yourself, push boundaries, and achieve ambitions - all while making meaningful impacts on society!

My brand story talks about creativity caused by the proximity of the ocean. Does the ocean affect you? If so, how?

Generations of Portuguese have been intricately connected to the sea, a connection that has both defined us and encouraged exploration. As an indelible part of our DNA, it's comforting for any traveler at heart to know that no matter how far we stray from home - there will always be a familiar place beneath its waves.
